ATL Crime Dashboard · Last updated 28 July 2026
ATL Crime Dashboard does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking of any kind.
None. The app has no sign-up, no login, and no user profiles. We do not operate a server that receives information about you, and we have no way to identify you or your device.
The incident map includes an optional button that centers the map on your current location. If you tap it, iOS asks for permission to access your location while using the app.
You can revoke this permission at any time in the Settings app.
The app retrieves publicly available crime incident records from the City of Atlanta’s open data service, hosted on ArcGIS Online. These requests are read-only: the app asks for incident records matching the filters you have chosen, and sends no information about you.
As with any request to a website, the operators of that service may record standard technical information such as your IP address in their own logs. That data is handled under their policies, not ours. See Esri’s privacy statement and the City of Atlanta for details.
The app contains no analytics frameworks, no advertising SDKs, no attribution services, and no third-party libraries that collect data. Nothing you do in the app is measured or reported.
Filter selections exist only in memory while the app is running and are discarded when you close it. Crime records fetched from the open data service are held only for display and are not retained after the app quits.
The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Incident records are published by the Atlanta Police Department as public records. They reflect incidents as reported and may be revised, reclassified, or removed by the publishing agency after they appear. Addresses in the source data are typically block-level rather than exact. ATL Crime Dashboard displays this information as provided and does not alter, verify, or supplement it.
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated date above.
Questions about this policy can be sent to fotocellar@gmail.com.
ATL Crime Dashboard is an independent application. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Atlanta Police Department or the City of Atlanta.
